"Highlander Hotel was recommended by a friend who had been impressed at how well they catered for large bus trips as well as smaller parties. We weren't sure it would suit us but tried it for two nights. It was a very pleasant surprise. Despite being a pet friendly hotel our room had absolutely no sign of ever having an animal in it and was spotlessly clean. "One night stay. Excellent breakfast. Room is small relative to pics. NO ELEVATOR if carrying heavy luggage. Is a bit outside town so car a must. Can’t walk to restaurants(5 minutes drive). "

"The view of the river and trees in the seating area behind the bunkhouse was beautiful. The staff were wonderful but reception being closed until 4pm makes it difficult to find help if you have any questions during the day. There were also no lockers in the rooms, or much space for personal storage. Other than that it was all lovely. "
