"Very fine Georgian property in the centre of the old town with welcoming and helpful staff. Facilities disappointing, no WiFi in rooms, no fridge, rather tired decorations. Needs some money spent to update a lovely old building.
Stirling well recommended for Castle and Old Prison tour, wonderful buildings and lovely green setting."

"We stayed overnight ahead of the Kelpies half marathon and in terms of location it was excellent with a 15 min walk to the Kelpies and dedicated parking outside the hotel.
Facilities were pretty basic however the hotel and the room were clean and warm and for a one night stay it had everything required.
One window in our room was stuck open which wasn't a huge issue but I imagine when the weather gets colder, it could be a problem."

"The bedroom furniture was very old, tired and dressing table was sticky. Lampshades dull and falling apart. Holes in the curtains. Magnolia woodchip wallpaper and threadbare carpet.
The bed was listed as a double but was more like a queen bed.
Bathroom had peach 1960s tiles. A bath with a shower curtain and a trickle of water.
Evening meal in the hotel (fish and chips plus pizza) was inedible. Fish was a frozen, overcooked triangle, frozen chips and expensive. Handed it back and asked then to...
"Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Rooms are clean and to a high quality. Excellent shower and well glazed windows so we didn’t hear cars during the night. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed the breakfast with plenty of gluten free options and the dinners we had were lovely also.
Make sure to visit scone palace nearby. Would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay again."
