"The rooms was unique and nice. Humid though, which is expected.
Hard to get to with baggages but they apparently offer to pick up from the parking spots (which we got to know late as it was not mentioned in the initial email, I don't think).
The beds were nice and comfy, quality linens.
Bathroom has no doors or curtain but it worked out ok as it was at one end of the room.
The worst was the WiFi! It did not work (at all - connected bu no Internet). We stayed for 2 nights and informed the...
"Fantastic hotel located in the most historical area of Matera. Great views of the gorge and mountain across from our suite. Convenient location and walkable. Parking is offsite at a paid location as there are restrictions, however, the hotel staff picks you up in the van. Great overall with clean, spacious double room with loft space. Lovely breakfast and nice, helpful staff. Highly Recommend!"
"Bon rapport qualité prix.
Le personnelle est super sympa et conseille sur les choses à visiter, merci particulier à Graziela et Giuseppe.
Chambre spacieuse et propre, très bien entretenue.
Seuls bemols, l'insonorisation et le manque de coffre dans la chambre.
C'était un bon séjour"
"What an amazing place to stay in Matera. Our room was a large spacious cave-style room with a private “wine cellar” down a long flight of stairs deep into the cave. The room came with everything we needed and the staff were kind and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Matera."
"Old hotel so the facilities need some maintenance like the air conditioner, simple the breakfast was ok, but the location is great close to everything"
"Tutto perfetto, camere curate e pulite, tranquillo, personale molto cortese, la tavola calda offre pochi piatti ma buoni e abbondanti a prezzi modici."
"I stumbled across this hotel whilst looking at a 5* property. I’m so glad I booked here. The owner Roberto and his colleague Francesco were so welcoming. The room I booked was fabulous. The wellness room with jacquzzi and Sauna on a separate level. The communication before arrival and check in was brilliant. Car parking booked and the hotel was easy enough to find. The views from the hotel of the sassi are amazing. The breakfast was so nice, something for everyone. On checkout we had a good chat...
"Really a fantastic place to stay. Really boutique feel. Room was fantastic. I have only one complaint, the WiFi did not reach my room (room 1). It worked on floors 2 and 3 with no issues. If they were to add a single WiFi extender on the 1st floor I think it would completely solve the issue.
Really recommend this property"
"What a beautiful place to stay. The Hosts Michele and his wife are so lovely and helpful. If we had come here earlier in our trip, we probably would have stayed a week. Very handy to drive to Bari, Trani, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare.
Will definitely come back."
