"Nice Hotel "

"The Moxy is located within ten minutes walk from Plymouth Hoe, the city centre and a similar distance from the ferry terminal. The hotel runs along the length of a very quiet side road (Bath Street). Even though my room was only on the second floor, I heard no traffic noise whatsoever. The hotel itself is less than two years old (as at June 2025) so the interior is in a very good state of decoration. The bar area next to reception is a pleasant space to pass a few hours - an unexpected surprise...

"Clean hotel, unfortunately the dining area is far too small when the hotel is busy. Although a dog friendly hotel, you are asked to sit in a specific area and if it's busy, you may have to wait an hour or so, or take breakfast in your room, despite tables being available and the food area being separate from the seating area. Overall not too bad price wise, by the time you add on parking and the pet. We stayed for 4 nights in the May holidays, worked out around £100/night. Staff were friendly...

"Faded glory in a stunning location. Spacious gardens and fantastic location for the beach, lovely indoor pool. Menu includes vegan sausages on the breakfast menu and vegan options in the restaurant in the evening. Staff are courteous and helpful. Would visit again "

"The hotel was good but the surrounding area is very run down with lots of begging in the streets. The facade of the hotel is not as depicted. The palms shown in the advertising are no longer there. Parking was in a local council car park which was understood, but parking was dearer than advised.. No street parking available other than metered. Torquay very run down and grubby."
