"We first visited the Salutation Hotel 29 years ago as a wedding venue and it was a premium location then. Getting the opportunity to stay there again now, we were excited to see it again. Unfortunately, it isn’t what it once was, although it was eerily familiar as little has been done to maintain or upgrade it over that time it seemed. "Hotel very conveniently located to city centre and all it offers, culturally - great museums, sustenance - great restaurants and a lovely walk along the river in the sunshine, also easy walking distance from the station. Room was clean, but a sock was discovered from a previous resident on the desk chair. Bed was comfy, but springs very squeaky. Free breakfast - a wide choice of hot and cold foods. Bananas were very green! Some cutlery and cups unclean. Snacks available from the bar and a comfy...
