"Rustic and quaint 200 year old manor outside the town walls. Short walking distance to the castle. The staff was friendly and my husband and I bonded with the charming cat Nina."

"Bad"

"I stayed 3 nights, room was cleaned every day. Great quiet spot to base out of if you are traveling around Alentejo. The town is very cute and there are lots of beaches in each town around the alqueva. It is worth driving around for a day to see all the small villages.

"Road in was a little bumpy but well worth the drive. Amazing views of the valley, sunrises and sunsets. Breakfast was very good, with fresh juice and fruit, fresh croissants and bread and unique spreads for them. Dinners are optional. We have three, one each night. They were all unique and very good."

"A relaxed atmosphere with people who really care about your welfare."
