"Riad Rafeef is a very interesting riad, and the decoration was cool to see. The management had put in a few years to renovate the place and you can definitely see the effort and thought put into the design. As with all of our stays in Morocco, the staff here was exceptional and very helpful. I am very grateful to the staff and the gentleman who had welcomed us, answered all questions throughout the stay, and helped us with our heavy luggage (sorry!)."
"It was a nice older property. We believed it was air conditioned but our rooms turned out not to be upon arrival. The in-room safe did not work. The weather was such that we could leave the windows open while we slept. Overall it seemed like a good value for the price. Nice people."
"We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was colorful and fun with a gorgeous tub that we used every night. The staff were beyond friendly and accommodating! The owner saw that it was my birthday and brought me flowers to dinner. The on site restaurant serves the most delicious breakfast included with your stay. The rooftop patio is also the perfect place for a cocktail and to watch the sunset over the ocean. We will 100 percent stay here on our next trip to Essaouria."
"Riad propre, bien tenu, au coeur de la Médina et non loin de la plage et du port. Personnel très accueillant. Les petits plats de Kadidja sont excellents et équilibrés. La bonne humeur et la bienveillance de Mohamed ont également été très appréciés. Merci à Éric, le gérant pour sa gentillesse et a toute l'équipe du Riad.

"Nice design Medina riad . Does not have air conditioning, no elevator, not recommended for people with knee problems as we were on the third level. We were reading wonderful reviews about the place and the staff but we found them rather inflexible with any requests.
Bed was comfortable but no place to open the suitcases. Breakfast was very good the first day but the second (last day) as they start serving it at 9 we had to skip it."
"Bon séjour, excellent emplacement
Le rapport qualité-prix est tout à fait juste : la qualité correspond bien au tarif payé. Mention spéciale pour le personnel qui est très accueillant et professionnel. De plus, l'hôtel est vraiment très bien situé. Le seul point d'amélioration serait le petit-déjeuner, où un petit effort supplémentaire serait appréciable. Je recommande !"
"Our stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful! The property is beautiful, with stunning surroundings that make it a truly relaxing place to stay. Our room was lovely, very comfortable, and exceptionally clean.
The only downside was the transportation back to the hotel one evening. The driver was driving quite aggressively and made a few uncomfortable overtakes in the dark, which made us feel a bit unsafe.
Other than that, everything was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend this hotel."
"This should be a 1 star hotel. Photos not updated and the amenities are scarce. The upper roof terrace’s is unusable.
The alley leading to the hotel is not well lit and frequently smelled and unsanitary."
"Very welcoming & warmth…
Be mindful… if you’re a diabetic you’ll need to inform them.
Me swapping the slice of cake for an egg omelette… incurred a charge (I wasn’t aware).
Because we got to know the owners it was waived.
Samir & Maryam are brilliant hosts.
Our room (suite 1) was great… just needed dusting… my wife has allergies. But we persevered.
Overall… a wonderful experience.
Great location within the medina to explore all the wonderment it offers!"
"I was especially impressed by the welcoming staff, who were able to assist with needed and made us feel very welcome. Room was decent size, excellent aircon and WiFi (not a given on my trip). The shower was powerful and the hotel was immaculately clean. Breakfast was varied and tasty. A very pleasant stay."
"Everything was perfect and lovely. We were welcomed warmly and shown to our room quickly as well as a tour of the property. When we reported our shower not working, an alternative was promptly shown and it was fixed upon our return. We are very grateful and loved the room and area. Definitely recommend- the staff was lovely and attentive with delicious breakfast too"
