"Location is good. Lots of ants and insects in the room. Host was welcoming. But be aware of food cost. Ask price before ordering. We order seafood dinner for three. He made combination of fish, calamari, tiny crabs and few shrimp and charged 50 dollars(water for drink). We paid as we did not ask before eating. Then he came back and ask 800 rupees for driver’s break fast. We paid. A minute later he came for driver’s accommodation cost. At that point we said, NO. We stayed 2 weeks in Sri Lanka....

"Really nice bungalows with very strong AC. The garden has a really nice view of Sigiriya rock. Good breakfast included, they also offer a decent buffet dinner. Sigiriya Rock is about a 15 minute walk, whereas the main village area is a bit further. After visiting Sigiriya in the morning, we decided at the very last minute to catch the train from Habarana station (30 min drive from Sigiriya) to Colombo. "Excellent stay in a lovely setting with swimming pool and nature pond. Clean and comfortable room with AC and WiFi. Lovely local breakfast provided each morning. Within walking distance to local restaurants or transport readily available if required. I also walked to Sigiriya Rock from the resort as it was close by. "Danu's homestay is the real experience. 5 star service with many smiles. If your looking for an authentic Sri Lankan homestay experience, this is it. Sigiriya is a beautiful little town and Lion Rock is a must do. Get up early to beat the crowds and heat. It opens at 7am. We hired a scooter but Charu the father will drive you if needed. The family are absolutely loving,kind and generous. Make sure you have dinner with them. One of the best meals I've had in Sri Lanka. Now for the suprise...

"Not usually a review scribe but sometimes you just feel compelled to. 5 stars does not do justice to Dinesh and family. Immaculately clean, helpful to a fault, nothing is too difficult to organize on your behalf and OMG the breakfast is more fit for a king than us minions. Look no further if you want a hassle free stay with some (no exaggeration) of the nicest people on this world of ours. "
