"The staff is friendly, and the location is excellent. Most of the city’s major attractions are within a 5–15 minute walk from the hotel, which makes sightseeing very convenient.
However, the Wi-Fi is quite slow and frequently disconnects. The windows also don’t provide much sound insulation, so you can hear cars and motorcycles from the street, especially at night."
"The Hotel Alessandra was a wonderful stay close to Arno river and in historic city center. Excellent restaurants and shopping nearby. The Duomo and Uffizi and the Accademia are all 10 to 15 minutes away. The sunsets off the Arno were incredible. The room was clean and quiet. They even had a plug in to zap mosquitos if any entered off the street into the building. The breakfast of 10 Euros was reasonable per person and good. The staff were very responsive to messaging and were always guiding us...
"Piccolo Hotel has a great location, all Florence's main attractions are just a short walk away. Room was decent, with very clean bedding. Overall, our expectations were met and Piccolo Hotel can be recommended, especially to those emphasising good location over room amenities. We cannot comment on breakfast, since we did not use it. Perhaps the owner should improve communication with customers: our two messages sent to the hotel went unanswered. That was our only objection."
"Excellent location and room was clean and dust free. It was somewhat quiet except you could hear the street sweepers in the morning and be woken at 7 am from the church bell. This was book for us as we had tours anyway. Staff was very acct."

Overpriced, dirty, and poorly maintained.
My stay at Hotel Berna was a complete disappointment. The room was far below standard, they come to clean the every days but, not clean the bathroom or shower, only make up the bed and change the towel, bathroom was dirty / the sheets were stained never changed. The coffee cup not changed even we told staff the front desk. On top of that, shower room too small not look like the picture on the website. For the price...
"This hotel is very old. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived. The room was old a dingy, did not feel clean. The bathroom was dirty and the shower drain was plugged. The air conditioner was not working and the wifi did not work during our stay. The only good thing about this hotel is location. Not worth the money we paid."
