"Clean room, friendly staff, good location for food and close to shopping (night market)."

"The host is very helpful and friendly. I stayed 1 week. The bed is comfortable and the AC works great. Host can arrange transport to local towns and train station as well as daily tours. From the water melon juice and banana upon arrival to the care taken during my stay, this place was a great choice for my stay in Luang Prabang."

"Very nice little hotel. Great staff and clean rooms. Would definitely recommend!"

"Great location and breakfast, except instant coffee"

"We stayed for 3 nights and on our return the first night the hotel was locked . Supposed to be 24 reception. No sign of anyone. We eventually gained access via the car park. In the 3 days we stayed housekeeping never came to our room. Water never replaced, towels not changed. However the worst part of staying here is the fact that it is not where it appears on the Hotels.com map but it actually around 2km further out of the centre of the old town. Had we known this we would never have booked 2...

"Went to stay at Mad Monkey for 3 days in the shared dorm for the doublebed room for couples. It was some lovely people and very helpful staf. It has happy hour for 4 hours a day, you get a free drink when arriving and they have aircon in the rooms. The rooms are still warm but feel quite private. We enojyed the pool area, especially at night where you could look at the stars and swim around before going to bed. Bathrooms and showers are shared and looks nice. Could be a bit cleaner for our...

"Great place to stay. Great location "

"Lovely staff and clean rooms, in a good location as well. "

"Clean and staffs are very helpful."

"We had 2 rooms and to be honest both bathrooms were in desperate need of an upgrade. The shower doors didn’t close on either and the shower head was completely off in the other. They were in need of a good clean. The rooms were very small and dark although it was very quiet and the beds were comfy. "

"Good location for walking around town, seeing the monks in the early am get alms.(spelling). Great location for wats, hill climb to wat and to Royal Palace museum."

"Did the job perfectly for what I needed, a stop over before an early morning flight. Small town to wonder around with everyday wonderful Vietnamese people. Spent several hours in a bar with locals and a few beers watching Vietnam play Malaysia! "

"Everything was immaculate, the staff above all else. Highest recommendations!"

"I spend two nights here at Y Not Lao. Even it's raining almost both days but the staff still suggested places to go. I love the view from shower room and comfy bed. :)"

"staff were great, location was great Breakfast needs alot of improvement, we only went once out of 5 days! the only other negative was the barking dogs all night, we had 4 nights of terrible sleep!"

"Very good hotel for a fair price. It was well lighted at night and clean."
