"Our family loved the easy going, colourful vibes of the hostel. Staying on the north side of Amsterdam suited us well. We frequented the grocery store right down the street and could use the common spaces in the hostel to eat our meals."

"We were happy with the hotel overall. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful as it was our first time in Amsterdam.
The room was quite outdated and the bathroom needed renovating but didn’t make a big difference to our stay.
Location was perfect as it was right next to Dan Square.
We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on that but the restaurant looked lovely.
Overall, I would stay again."

"Ignoring the surroundings, this affordable hotel has everything you could need for a few days stay. Place to lie your head, with private bathroom. Would be a bit crammed for more than one person but not impossible. Only disappointing aspect was the randomness of the air conditioning controls. Would turn off after a period of time and couldn’t be set to below a set temperature. Not the end of the world but on a hot night, being able to set it going without having to get up to turn it back on...

"Have no complaints on the staff, but the room wasn’t clean, trash under the bed from people who stayed precariously, room pictured are very old the rooms don’t look the same. There is free wifi but it doesn’t reach the rooms you stay in and there was flying bugs in my room i killed the first one and another found its way in not sure where they were coming from because my window stayed closed."

"For my first time going to Amsterdam this place was perfect for the price. Location was decent. Fyi for Americans staying here is this warning. They do not have air conditioning or fans.
