"The room we had was very very basic - which we actually didnt mind that much as we werent planning on spending that much time there. Sadly we didnt see any staff for the entire 10 day we were there, other than when we hu ted them down for clean towels. The room wasn't cleaned for our entire stay and we had to empty the bins ourselves. If your looking for a base to stay, wash up and get your head down then thos is for you - if you want any sort of 'hotel' service then you'd be better off...

An der Rezeption wurden wir von Ahmed empfangen ihm gilt ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön, da er sich während unseres gesamten Aufenthaltes stets um uns gekümmert hat. Er macht seine Arbeit sehr professionell. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, das Essen ist hervorragend und das gesamte Personal ist äußerst aufmerksam. Nächstes Jahr kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!"

The first room was covered in thick dust, to the extent that my new iPad cover became damaged within minutes. "The Luxor Hotel’s location is not in the main tourist area, you have to take a 15 min cab ride for 100 egp to get there. The area is local with some tourists and totally safe and friendly. The hotel is a 2 star, no kettle but a fridge in the room. Staff are friendly."
