"This was our second stay at Simon's Place, we like the relaxed, genuine Tongan atmosphere. The owners and staff go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Lovely help yourself breakfast and the cafe meals are delicious too. It's a convenient location, just a short 10 minute stroll to town past the market or to the waterfront and it can be interesting with the wandering dogs (we never had any trouble), cockerels and chickens - even an occasional pig and piglets!! Hey, it's Tonga,...

"Very bad"

"Excellent place to stay! I highly recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a home away from home, with genuine local knowledge and hospitality. George, Selina and Siupeli (apologies if I’ve spelt any names incorrectly!) were all so lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was also fresh, healthy and delicious. Highly recommend staying here!"

"Convenience with restaurant and friendly staff. Airport pick up and drop off was nice, and the meals were quite good, with the staff asking for feedback on how to improve things which was good to see."

"The owner of the is villa is an absolute legend, he took us and recommended places to go for dinner, always keen to help"

"Do not have complaints just commendations for the level of service and hospitality. Malo"

The coral is amazing to the right of the beach but you need to be careful to go when it’s calmer and lower tide. We saw whales swim past from the family unit we were staying in. The flying foxes (bats)...

"We went to the Royal Sunset with 6 of our Tongan young friends who help us at a humanitarian clinic we work in. We are leaving Tonga and wanted to thank them for all they do. We decided to spend the night at the Royal Sunset. The rooms were filthy. The linens were stained and the rooms were unbearably hot. The pool water was brown. Of the 3 kayaks that were available for use, 2 took on water as soon as you pulled them into the ocean. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for our lunch and we were...

"The hotel is very good. The boss is kind, and the service people are very kind. The location is fabrastic."
