"I loved this property. We stayed in September so puffins had left by the time we got there.
It is a bit remote but the staff were all great and the food was delicious. Thus place just has really awesome vibes. Would highly recommend."
"This guest house is perfect for a one night stay in between cities. I am solo traveling the Ring Road and this was a great place to take a break. The staff was really friendly. It’s on the way up north and it is about 20 minutes away from cafés and gas stations."
"The room I was given smelled so bad like paint or chemicals, I couldn't stay in there for 5 minutes without getting nauseous. They did give me a different room, which fixed that issue. However, the whole hostel side of the building is stuffy and rundown.
The bathroom shower kept spurting, and fluctuating temperature. It was also so dirty I had to make sure I didn't touch anything while in there. There are stains on the walls and ceilings.
The heaters in the bedroom didn't turn on and the room...
"The building we were in felt a little austere, and the walls were quite thin, but the room was clean and the breakfast was really good and I liked the location. The staff was nice and parking was free and easy."
"Ja es ist was abgelegen , aber genau das macht den Charme aus. Innen ist es gemütlich und angenehm . Modern eingerichtet . Man hat alles was man braucht. Schade das wir nur eine Nacht da waren. Bisher unsere schönste Unterkunft auf der Reise"
"A little out of the way but very worth the extra drive - note that the road out to the guesthouse is gravel and the driveway is a bit steep. Lovely clean little house with a nice kitchen area, tidy rooms, and good bathrooms. Great views. Owners and other guests were very pleasant. We didn’t take advantage of purchasing meals but they looked very good. "
"A wonderful stay in East Iceland!
Skard Farm is an amazing option if you are looking for a place to stay in East Iceland. Siggy was such a warm and friendly host. He spent time with me during breakfast and happily answered all my questions about life in Iceland and the best local spots to visit. Speaking of breakfast - it was incredible, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. I highly recommend staying here!"
