"This is a clear case of getting what you paid for as the rates in this hotel was cheap so we ended up very disappointed. My party occupied 6 rooms and only 2 had complete baths. The others had only a partition in the washroom area with water escaping into the room when a bath was taken. There is evidence that some work was done in the bathrooms but there are lots more to be done as the standard is unacceptable. "We had a lovely stay at Hotel Villani! Lucia and team were wonderful and welcoming, breakfast was delicious with a lot of options, and the rooftop terrace was really the cherry on top. The only bummers were that the one night we wanted to enjoy the terrace, it was closed early, and that our bed was actually two twins pushed together, not a truly queen/king sized bed. This made sleeping a bit uncomfortable, but overall we enjoyed our stay!"

My stay at Hotel Berna was a complete disappointment. The room was far below standard, they come to clean the every days but, not clean the bathroom or shower, only make up the bed and change the towel, bathroom was dirty / the sheets were stained never changed. The coffee cup not changed even we told staff the front desk. On top of that, shower room too small not look like the picture on the website. For the price...
"Piccolo Hotel has a great location, all Florence's main attractions are just a short walk away. Room was decent, with very clean bedding. Overall, our expectations were met and Piccolo Hotel can be recommended, especially to those emphasising good location over room amenities. We cannot comment on breakfast, since we did not use it. Perhaps the owner should improve communication with customers: our two messages sent to the hotel went unanswered. That was our only objection."
"Bel emplacement près de la gare Santa Maria Novella à Florence ! Cependant, pour faire le check-in, il faut aller dans un autre hôtel (mais qui était au moins situé sur la même rue). Un service de 24h n'est pas offert en cas de pépin. Malheureusement dans la chambre, il n'y avait pas de coffre-fort ni de petit réfrigérateur. Le lit et les oreillers étaient confortables ! Le petit déjeuner était limité, mais il était offert."
