Having canvas tents is more authentic but necessarily means a little less comfort than the "purpose built camps" like Oryx, though more than adequate. Food is brought up from Oryx (1km away) and was pretty good. Stargazing was amazing as was watching the colours at sunrise. But the "activities" on offer are expensive - "dune bashing" for £50 was really not up to much and you could walk to the place you are taken...

"Das Hotel ist super gelegen für eine Übernachtung in der Nähe des Wadi Bani Khalid und der Wüste. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und sehr sauber und eher spartanisch eingerichtet. Aber das genügt völlig für eine Nacht. Einzigartig ist der nette Eigentümer des Hotels. Er hat sich sehr individuell um uns gekümmert und abends noch eine Wüstentour für den nächsten Morgen organisiert. Den Sonnenaufgang in der Wüste zu erleben war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Das Frühstück war gut, aber nichts...
