If you're arriving from another town on Lake Atitlán, keep in mind that the last public boat to Tzununa usually departs at 5:30 PM. After that, your only option for transportation is privately or to take a tuk tuk from nearby San Marcos La Laguna. Expect quiet evenings and early nights. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my stay and would return without hesitation—again and again. "

"We loved our peaceful stay here. It’s clear that the volunteers really care about guest experience - especially Nicole. Christian was also very helpful and kind throughout our stay - an invaluable asset to the hotel. Be warned that if mobility is an issue, you should not stay here as the cabins are hundreds of stairs from the restaurant. But you are rewarded with beautiful views of the lake - which, in our view, was worth it. Dinner was 150q per night, but it was an amazing three course meal - very worth it! There is free coffee and tea and the coffee was the best we have had on our trip so far in Guatemala. I would definitely stay here again! "
