An earthquake in 1763 ruined the church of Zsámbék. It was not reconstructed after this horrific event. Settlers took the stones from the church and used them for building houses and fences. Many of the church's stones are still present in the walls of older houses.

"This is a very nice place to rent. Plenty of space for a group. The location is right near everything one must see when visiting Budapest. It has AC but it is only in the living room so the rest -bedrooms- are warm, but the windows open wide. If we were to go back this would be a nice home base to continue to explore from."

"The flat was very clean and had adequate bedrooms and bathrooms. The WiFi was intermittent at best. Our VRBO contacts were VERY GOOD about keeping in contact with us when we had a problem, and it did get resolved after a couple days. We also needed more kitchen and bath towels.(We stayed 5 days with 7 guests and had do go to Bubbles to do laundry) Only one kitchen towel was provided. "Beautiful, spacious and clean apartment"

"Best aspect of this property is the air conditioning system which was key during a stay in July. Better AC here than a much more expensive hotel we stayed at before. Neighborhood felt safe to walk around -- largely residential, and not as close to some attractions, but so easy to get around in taxis here."

"Great location and one of the few places that could accommodate our large group. Short walk to the metro and train station. Plenty of places close by to eat. And if you are traveling during the summer - air conditioning. In addition, hosts met us when we arrived and helped arrange transportation to airport for our large group. Don’t know if they manage smaller properties, but if they do.... I would expect them to be fantastic."

"Really enjoyed my stay at Dean’s and would consider staying again next time. Very easy to reach and find after a late international flight. Friendly staff on the front desk 24/7. Great location for everything and I like to be on the edge of the city centre. Comfortable room and everything I needed. I didn’t go on the roof but wish I had remembered to."
