"It is a brand new hotel, very nice, very clean, easy to walk to a nice beach. Fantastic food, a la carte or buffet (changes daily). Free parking. Free bottle of wine in the fridge upon arrival, free upgrade to a suite. 9€ with Uber to Albufeira, impressive breakfast incl. Live cooking and Cava. And a very helpful, polite and friendly staff. "

"We stayed here as a couple for 3 nights specifically attending for a friend's wedding, half board (breakfast & dinner). The hotel itself looks like it's located amongst other nearby hotels/resorts/residential and a beach. We didn't go to the beach as it wasn't private to the hotel and extremely busy, parasols everywhere (we travelled during the summer holiday). Hotel and grounds are large, clean and modern. The venue for the wedding itself was beautifully set amongst the grounds. It's still within earshot of the main swimming pool, but not enough to distract the ceremony. There was a good variety of hot and cold foods for breakfast and dinner. The layout of the food lacked a bit of logic eg. cereals nowhere near milk, bread miles away from a toaster etc. We ate most meals in the hotel, however they could have made an effort to change the decor/ambience a bit, otherwise it's the same large restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive, but could have done more to intro how breakfast and dinner works on arrival to the restaurant. Expect to pay extras when you wouldn't think. There's no iron in the room (so wore a creased shirt to the wedding) and charging you to use the modern gym of the two they have (unless you pay to use the spa). Massages there were good."

"We had the most amazing time at Villa Joanna-Marie. House was perfect for a family and we loved spending our days by the pool. Communication with David and Manuel was excellent which made everything very straight forward and they could not do enough to help us. Would highly recommend. "

"Just returned from a 2 week stay - 4 adults and a 15 and 11 year old. We stayed at the larger villa opposite last year but wanted to return to the area as a smaller party so chose this villa. The area is just perfect. Quiet and relaxing but close enough to busier places. We stayed for 2 weeks with no car. You can Uber to anywhere. We ventured to Albufeira, the marina (highly recommend), Armação de Para, Gale etc and had no trouble getting a 7 seater Uber. Aldi is a 10 mins walk away (just Uber back with larger shopping amounts). You can get the big red open top bus from down by the Salgados hotel which is good to explore the local area and goes all the way to Villamoura. Dolphin and caves boat trip is also a great trip (booked online with Seacre). The villa has everything you need. Be aware that there is nothing on your arrival - no water, basics such as as oil, condiments, dishwasher tablets etc so you do need to do a supermarket run as you arrive. The only thing I would say is to echo what others have said about the pool. There are tiles missing from the bottom (I caught my feet a couple of times) so it is in need of some repair but this wouldn’t stop me booking the villa again. There are only 5 loungers but there were 6 of us and the umbrellas definitely need replacing. There also aren’t enough of them. By 2pm there is little shade and it was very hot. When the pool water went a funny colour, the pool guy came the next day after I reported it. A fabulous holiday! "

"This is a wonderful property- clean and spacious, and the pool is just wonderful. It's quite noisy, on a busy road and with local dogs quite loud. There's also no consumables at all provided. So we had to buy our own toilet paper and washing up liquid, which at this price is a little mean "
