"The manager Vivien was amazing and so supportive with English, booking tickets, getting taxis, sharing directions and helping with shopping and dining. Simply can’t thank her and the staff enough. Most amazing experience for a non Chinese speaking traveller in a very non English speaking location that is close to ski fields and the Great Wall of China.

"The service at this hotel is truly impressive! During check-in, the front desk staff went out of their way to make everything as convenient as possible for me. Since we arrived late and all the nearby liquor stores were closed, they kindly surprised me by delivering a bottle of Chilean red wine! The room itself was spotless and cozy, with bedding so comfortable I slept like a dream. Breakfast was a delight too. Overall, it was an exceptional stay, and I’d definitely come back next time!

"Hotels.com has the wrong address. When I went to the address, which was also a hotel named Nostalgia Hotel I was told the place doesn't accept foreign nationals, you must be a Chinese citizen. I had to make other accommodations myself and was going to solve this with Hotels.com when I had WIFI. When I later chanced upon the other Nostalgia Hotel while walking a few miles away, I immediately informed Hotels.com they had the wrong address.
