Great hotel in a good location. Our room had a balcony with a view of the Matterhorn. The staff at check-in was super friendly and helpful with our questions. I will definitely be back to stay at this hotel in the winter to ski.

The location was excellent, quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the Bahnhofstrasse. Breakfast was served at the adjacent hotel and was okay. Nothing was served hot, all cold cuts and typical continental breakfast.

We liked the location and the staff. Breakfast was average. The room was very small…we felt like we were in a box. With our carry on luggage the room felt very cramped.

So glad I chose this hotel. The gentle man checked us in was very kind and helpful. The location is close to everything while quiet. The room was clean. loved the balcony and its view. We did enjoy our stay. will absolutely recommend it!

Our stay was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room and the views from it were beautiful and easy to access. The room had a slight smell to it ( we think perhaps from the bathroom drains) but was not so bad that we felt the need to say anything while staying as we were only there for a night. A few cobwebs in the room too but otherwise very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable too.

This place is the perfect stay for a few days if you are traveling solo or with a partner or friends. The building is old but it does have an elevator that works but it’s small. You’ll need to check in at the Tannenhof hotel that is basically next to it, the staff was amazing. They did speak Spanish & English. Very clean, very accessible to places like sunnegga - rothon station at 7 mins by walking. Restaurants & Souvenirs shops are literally less than a 5mins walk. The breakfast options are very limited but good quality food. The only downside is the Alpina hotel doesn’t have air conditioner in the room. I enjoyed my stay here and recommend to those who want explore Zermatt and the Matterhorn.

Even though it’s old building, but room service staffs are well done to do the cleaning. Receptionist is very helpful and nice. He gave me ideas where we can take good pictures, and gave us some ideas where to eat. 7mins from the train station, good location.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Alpina. Check in at the other hotel was quick. I had an issue with the door lock and I was moved to a different room which was fully renovated and much nicer than the first room. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here on my next visit to Zermatt.
