"Horrible experience. I was traveling to Berlin for one night and upon arrival I found the hotel front door closed. Apparently this is normal as there is no staff on hand unless there is a check-in due however this prompted me to give the hotel a call. The lady on the phone then (in a very rude manner) informed me that the booking I had had been cancelled by hotels.com and that there were no rooms available. "This property was a perfect place to rest your head at a very competitive price. Its located next to multiple U-bahn stops for easy commuting around the city and a 20-30 minute walk to downtown Mitte, 10-20 to Kreuzberg, and to many of the sight-seeing spots around town. There are few amenities (bring your own bath soap and don't expect an iron), but the bed is comfy, the space clean, and for that price and location, made for a great place to rest my head at the end of a long day."

"Hi, there is no do not disturb sign so every day the cleaner would knock very loudly and barge into the room. Also the owner demanded payment when I checked in the even though I booked online. Why do I have to pay twice? Also I checked in at 11:30 pm and the reception was closed even though they’re supposed to be open until midnight. What if I didn’t have a phone? I would have had to sleep outside "

"The internet was broken, no elevetor - no airconditioning and the bugs - flies and wasps flew into the room. Had to have the windows open because it was so hot. Nice older couple ( I'm 74 myself) but in way over their heads. Really too bad. I booked another hotel through expedia and move - a good hotel the Mercure."

"Pension Pushkin offers cheap accommodation in Berlin. Now I've gone through all the good points, let me give some tips and tricks... Tip one, the room is extremely hot with no fan or aircon, sleeping with the window open does offer some relief but the road noise is excessive only to be drowned out by the train noise. "Living in Berlin City Stay Hostel is really a great experience. The owner Mr.Zeitler is quite understanding and the facilities are same as stated and to be true better than expected.The washrooms are maintained well and the facility is very nicely lit.And most importantly there are large windows allowing lots of sunlight inside. "Really enjoyed our mini break. Although many speak minimal English, Staff really helpful and will direct you to senior multilingual staff! Food was great. Dome obviously warm with tropical temperatures. External pool at the Amazonia was fun. I felt relaxed. Accommodation clean and homey! Bed and pillows should be updated to make it comfortable! Overall I will definitely go back. I will rate it very good! "
