"The location was a perfect base for all the activities our family wanted to do, though we did have a car. Breakfast was excellent to start our adventures everyday. We had inspiring views of Arenal volcano when it peaks out from the clouds while relaxing at the pools."

The photos don’t even do it justice. The food was so good, we were disappointed that we couldn’t try everything on the menu. We only stayed 3 nights and that just wasn’t enough to take it all of the perfection that is Hotel Belmar. "

"This was the most beautiful, most relaxing, and friendliest place ever. All the staff were so kind and welcoming. Upon checking in, the staff had drinks and towels for us. They showed us to our room and explained how organic and eco friendly everything was. Our room was private with a patio that had a hammock. The pools were clean and relaxing. Not crowded. The food was delicious, they were constantly feeding us. It rained during our trip but it was still so relaxing and we were still able to squeeze in a lot. We did horse back riding, hiked the property on our own, swam. Everything was clean. The staff were so kind and always made sure we were taken care of. I would come back again for a longer stay! "

"This location is fairly new in an up and coming location near La Fortuna center. The facility was great. Very spacious for a family of four (parents and two teenagers). The staff was awesome. Helped set up an itinerary and have everything taken care of for us. Of the 5 days of events, 3 of them provided transportation directly from Bauma to the location. They did offer full transportation but we wanted to explore. UBER is illegal there, but you can use it. You just have to have someone ride in the front seat. All of the locations that Bauma suggested were great. These included a floating raft tour, a full day combination tour including ending at a hot springs and an ATV tour. If you rent a car like we did, just be prepared for a "White Knuckle" drive through the mountains to get to La Fortuna. "
