"Really nice hotel in a superb location just by the Nile. Busy location so it can be a bit noisy on weekend nights but didn’t impact me at all. Found good restaurants and bars close to the hotel, we ate very good breakfast and dinner at the Geidea, Pottery Bar for food, tea and shisha, everything. For an experience like a local try outdoors Poshenki bar. The Maxim Nile Cruise is not far and even went kayaking as it was only a 2 minute walk from us. There’s a Metro supermarket just opposite, inside the little mall. Ubers to downtown take 15/20 minutes and cost like £2. I am so glad we stayed in Zamalek because it’s less polluted, has the beautiful river and is more modern. The Nile view rooms have got an amazing view. Hotel staff was very accommodating, honest and friendly. It has a pretty restaurant, we only got room service but food was very good and staff very helpful."
