"Bright room colours. Good choices at breakfast buffet. Walking distance to the market and main sights. Kanazawa train station is just 15 minutes walk. There is a ramen restaurant 2 min walk called Ramen Mikoshi 中華蕎麦 御輿 which is excellent."

"Very convenient hotel. They could use a deep cleaning of the carpets as there is a strong smell in the rooms and stained carpets. Otherwise super comfortable and convenient for seeing the area. Loved the little lounge and community feel."

"What is good about the hotel: location - able to walk to most touristic attractions or a very short taxi ride, very clean, the public bath was spotless, the staff do almost anything to make your stay more pleasant, the room small and yet very comfortable and quiet. Overall, a great experience. I did not try the breakfast."

"The hotel was spotless and well looked-after. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We turned up for dinner without a reservation on the off-chance and the staff fitted us in without a word. The hotel is literally across the street from the station (and also from a 7-Eleven) which was very convenient."

"It was a wonderfully unique experience to stay at this Japanese hotel with a private onsen bath in our room. I would recommend staying at least 2 nights as it is in a remote location 40 min from downtown Kanazawa. They have a free shuttle to and from Kanazawa that you need to organize with the hotel. The multi-course Japanese breakfast in a private room was a treat. The staff was very responsive and helpful despite not speaking much English. We had to make quite a few changes and they were quite understanding."
