Our stay was spectacular, we never have a ryokan experience before so this is our first. The highlights were the service and the food, the service was top notch, we got a pick up from the yugawara station to the ryokan, and they also drive us back after check out. In the ryokan the son was very helpful with explaining to us everything in english. The ryokan also feels very warm and homey, it is managed by a family of 6. The grandmother cooks the food and it was amazing, we were so full but we didn’t feel bloated, after a while our body feels healthier, maybe because everything they served was carefully thought and we ate starting from the sashimi just like how they explained it. The onsen was good, it feels relaxing and also not very packed, when i came early in the morning, there was nobody so it feels like a private onsen. They also sell wasabi gelato which is surprisingly good and some cute pattern tenugui. After the stay we feel so refreshed and relaxed since we just spent 3 hectic days in tokyo before staying at shiori.
