Wow….. My first Awa Odori festival and I’m blow away with how much fun I had shooting last night! You almost need to have your head on a swivel to be able to catch everything.

Thousands of dancers and musicians take over a whole suburb with their amazing energy and routines for the weekend.

Using the new Sony a7rii for the first time and it was brilliant in the low light and AF for movement of the performers.

"We had an excellent experience at this hotel. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We were granted a late check-out at no extra charge, which really helped us relax on our last day. The hotel is also in a fantastic location—just a 4-minute walk from the bus station and 9 minutes from the train station. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. "The location is excellent at just a 3 minute walk from the Yamanote line. The room was clean and as expected. The aircon worked well and keep cool overnight. The bed was comfy. If you're looking for a no frills, place to sleep and shower, and take off for the day, this is the place to stay at."

"Our room was comfortable and clean. I appreciate that staff replenished our towels and water daily. Linens are changed every other day and that's OK. I wish they would make the beds daily though. The only criticism I have is the wifi connection. It was very hard to connect on an android phone. Hit or miss. We did not use the spa but saw plenty of people taking advantage of it. Finally, I really appreciated the free shuttle bus to haneda airport. It made the start of our journey home very easy and convenient. "
