"Out of our 7 hotels during our Californian Road Trip, this was the most tired looking. We had to change rooms as the first room was next to a very noisy mechanical unit. This was easily done...but not ideal after being on the road all day. However the location was great for visiting Sequoia, the views of the mountains were nice and you could walk up the road to a mini market and lovely Mexican restaurant."

"(June 5–7, 2026 — Sequoia & Kings Canyon Trip) Dear Motel 6 Visalia Team, Our stay from June 5–7, 2026 was truly one of the best experiences of our entire trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. From the very beginning, your staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of. We received a thoughtful welcome message before our arrival letting us know that our room was fully prepared — a small gesture that made a big difference. Upon arrival, everything was smooth: parking was easy, the amenities were exactly as described, and the room was clean, ready, and comfortable. But what stood out most was the staff. Every interaction was kind, professional, and genuinely friendly. It’s rare to feel this level of hospitality at a roadside hotel, and we appreciated it deeply. We gladly give an all‑stars excellent rating and extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved. You helped make our national‑park getaway even more memorable. "I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Edgewater Inn. Not only did we encounter bugs in our room during our stay, but the problems continued even after we checked out. After leaving the hotel, we began noticing unexpected charges being added to our account with little to no explanation. When we contacted the front desk for clarification, the staff member (Esther) we spoke with was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. To make matters worse, we were accused of violating hotel policies, which was completely untrue. Despite our attempts to address the situation, we felt unfairly blamed and were not treated with respect. Instead we were told “Just dispute the charges”. Between the bugs in the room, unexplained charges, false accusations, and poor customer service, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. I expected a clean room and professional treatment, but unfortunately, Edgewater Inn failed to provide either. I would not recommend staying here and would encourage future guests to carefully inspect their rooms and review their bills after checkout."

"The lobby itself was nice and clean, but once you get up the elevator you can see it’s not in best condition. From the walls to the floor. I stayed for 2 nights, upon opening the bathroom there were bugs on the floor. Grossed out but we came back from sequoia so we were too tired to care. The next day after our Yosemite trip we came back and our room key didn’t work, after that got figured out we saw that they came in to cleaned the room and after I didn’t find any bugs again. Idk I personally wouldn’t stay here again."

"Room that we were in was located in a horrible area downstairs, once we entered room by entrance door there was lots of dust and debris, shower head was loose and ready to come off, being the handy man I was I screwed the shower head base back in, AC did work but took some time to get cold as it was a warm day, breakfast was ok but wish there was some sort of sausage or bacon even ham, too many flies in lobby with food, wish they also had milk for coffee not creamer and more variety of drinks, it’s was ok to stay but for price of room it should of been a bit more better, Iv stayed at motel 8”s that were cheaper and cleaner but this booking was a last minute thing fit to all hotels/motels sold out in the area as this was our last choice. I would not recommend this lodge to stay unless you are despite like me and my family were."
