"I really don’t want to say anything bad about this place because the people were truly fantastic but this was not my favorite stay. In terms of safety (especially being a solo female traveler) I felt very safe. If you’re looking for a secluded and gorgeous spot this is definitely it. The cabins are not great but the location really does make up for it. I did see the biggest spider of my life due to a hole in the bathroom that really threw me off in terms of this stay though. The boys of the owner thankfully came and got it out but as someone who is not the greatest with big bugs, I would recommend finding a more secure stay if that is an issue for you. There were ants everywhere and there wasn’t a fan until I asked for one which made it very difficult to sleep. The electricity is only on at night which is fine but it’s a lot when it’s super hot and there is no fan. The food was always good but you didn’t get any option on what you ate. You got what you got. You also sit with everyone else who is staying at the place at a big table so if you are looking to have your own space or be solo this isn’t the best place for it. Personally I liked it though because it opened conversation with new people. The location really is breathtaking. Everyone is so nice and they have the cutest dogs and one eyed cat! "

"Great location, beautiful conservation area so the coral and the fishes are lovely. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They keep you engaged and entertained. Playing volleyball, fan weaving, cooking classes, kids playing…. It was a great experience. Highly recommend staying here because of the location and the staff. Prices for food could be a little cheaper though. But food was really good. "

"We stayed at the treetop Bure, the view was phenomenal. The Bure was basic but charming and clean. The area around the resort is really well maintained tropical gardens. The resort has a convenience store and a restaurant. Food was healthy and tasty using local ingredients. Daily breakfast included freshly baked sweet and savoury goods. The staff was very welcoming. We felt a sense of community got to learn about the Fiji culture from them. They were also very accommodating in regards to daily activities offered. Overall we loved our stay at Nanua and highly recommend. "

"We had the best time staying with Bill and Polla and their family. Bill was great at communicating before we arrived and we arranged transfer with him to and from our stay. Pollas food was delicious, portions were very generous and such a big variety of meals! The island is so beautiful and staying with Bill and Polla is a great way to experience the real Fiji. The snorkling with sharks experience was incredible. Their son was home for the long weekend and took us out for the sunset fishinng trip and along to the sand bar. Make sure to read Bills description as this is a real Fiji experience and not for everyone but we would recommend to anyone that wants to see more than the resorts. Thank you Bill and Polla for being so welcoming and kind and opening your home up to us. "

"Amazing staff especially Anna at the dive shop and the other ‘entertainment and activity’ staff!!! The food was superb!!!! Stayed in the dorm, was perfect for solo travellers to meet others etc. good scuba diving team as well. Had an amazing time there. "
