"The room was very, very, clean.; and the front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly, kind, and helpful.
It’s a perfect location! Very close to Kagoshima-Chuo, and there’s many restaurants and convenience stores nearby!
I will definitely stay here again, next time I’m in Kagoshima.
My only negative point: the power shuts off when the room card is removed. For people that work online, uploads and downloads will cease when your computer runs out of battery power.
It was a minor issue, that made me change my work schedule while doing tourist activities. I will still stay here again in the future.
Thank you, Hotel Noir!"
"The hotel was well placed for the 10 Conn man shopping centre and men buses around the city and only a 20 minute walk from Kagoshima real station. The hotel was very clean. The room was clean inside the room. It had a mini kitchenette with hot plate, pans, cutlery, kettle, fridge and a microwave which we did not use, but would've been handy if we had known.
Rooms are only cleaned every three days, but your towels are replaced and bins are emptied every morning. Bathroom is very good with a bath and shower two sinks and the usual free toothpaste and toothbrushes, etc. Our room had a corner window with a view over the local park which was good and we could see the Sakurajima volcano from our eighth floor room. We did not eat in the restaurant of an evening but the breakfast were really good western style almost full English or choice of granola and berries or toasted egg avocado on toast. All options were very tasty. The restaurant is on the 13th top floor and there is a bar and an open roof Terrace which is nice. The staff were lovely particularly the women who were on breakfast duty they were so helpful and friendly. There is only Filterkaffee available for breakfast but you can order a latte from behind the bar but you have to pay for it. There are no keys or key cards you're giving a QR code on your phone to unlock your door and use the lift. There are secure lockers downstairs where you can put your luggage. Overall, we live stay here and would come back."
"No other place can beat the convenience of this location. You can hop on the Shinkansen within minutes, making travel incredibly easy.
I also enjoyed the breakfast, which featured many local ingredients and specialties. Another thoughtful touch was the option to use the breakfast voucher at the station café, where it could even be applied toward lunch. I found this flexibility very convenient and appreciated the hotel’s attention to guests’ needs."
"No wonder my friend said we had to stay at the Shiroyama on learning we are going to Kagoshima. The hotel is like the Tokyo Imperial Hotel and more transported to this location on top of a hill, facing the Sakurajima volcano, which one can stare at while bathing in the open air mineral waters at the onsen/spa.
There are many different restaurants inside this enormous place so we dined in for the 2 nights. There is a shuttle service to the downtown area to while the daytime hours, which also goes to the train station."
"Great hotel and in the middle of where you need to be. Walking distance to the ferry to go to Sakurajima Volcano and also walking distance to Kagoshima Chuo Station"
"Usually the hotels in Japan is very small, and I expected that. However, one thing that astound me is that when I didn't select if I want a non-smoking room, which is usually a no brainer in the States, I got assigned to a smoking room automatically. I was trying to get a replacement for non-smoking room, but the clerks were not helpful. They didn't even try but just say, I am sorry."
"The view we had in our room was beautiful
We could see Sakurajima clearly. The staff helpful and the room very clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel."
"Great Hotel. Very clean & spacious. Staff were very helpful. Great location to all amenities. Would highly recommend this hotel to future guests. Enjoyed my stay there very much."
