"We had a lovely experience staying in Sakuya hotel. The owners were very kind and helpful, offered us shuttle van to go to town. Offered us private onsen which was very relaxing. Rooms were futon bed with a view of Mt Fuji, breakfast was so yum. Would definitely come next time. "

"The staff were, friendly, helpful and willing. The place itself was spotlessly clean, both my room and the facilities. It is within an easy walk of the train and bus stations as well as Kawaguchiko Lakeside. I couldn't have asked for better accommodation, would definitely stay there again."

"Real nice experience and excellent host. Perfect location to walk around. inhouse hot spring is a treat. The host even dive me to the train station at 6:30am. Stongly recommended."

"Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"小菅村を理解した上で泊まること。周辺施設は数軒のみ。17時頃には閉店。施設は築約150年の古民家を改造しているため、天井や柱が低く頭をぶつけやすい。夏は特に虫も出やすい。だが、スタッフの方や村の方たちがでの一生懸命サービスを提供して頂けて大満足。また行きたい。 "

"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"Check in was a little sketchy, I struggled to find the right door at first and keypad. And when I got into my room, I didn't realize the door would lock behind me when I left. I closed the door to go to the bathroom downstairs and luckily I had my phone on me with my code, but if I had locked my phone in my room without my code I would've been in a really bad spot since there is no receptionist or on-site staff. "Really convenient hotel—just a super short walk from the train station and tons of restaurants nearby (even though there’s no breakfast or in-house dining). The rooftop view of Mt. Fuji is amazing! There’s a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers (one dryer was out of service during my stay), and detergent is free. Loved the little extras in the lobby—free coffee, tea, soup, and drawers with towels, PJs, and skincare packets. Each floor has a microwave and a hamper for used towels and PJs. Very comfy and practical!"
