"The location is great. Definitely worth waking up early to walk around the hutongs nearby before dawn—highlight of our trip. The building is older and is due for an update, but is very clean and warm. I believe our room was upgraded from a double to a double deluxe room, which was very spacious."

"A perfect little gem of a hotel right in the centre of the hutongs. Very clean and welcoming with superb service from their staff (who speak English). The hotel is like a little museum to Chinese shadow art with so much information, examples and a library. An added bonus was the actual shadow art performance and demonstration by the puppeteer. "

"天安門広場側を向いている部屋であれば、非常に良く天安門広場がみて、夜はライトアップもしており、見晴らしが良い。 また部屋には望遠鏡が設置されており、それを使って、天安門広場をみることができる。 バスタブがなく、シャワーだけで湯量は少なめなのが難点だが、大きい問題ではないと感じた。 ただ、フロントの人が英語を話せなかったため、中国語への翻訳アプリやガイドブックなどの会話帳を参考にした方が、何か場所を聞いたり部屋について聞いた場合スムーズであると感じた。"
