When we checked in the front desk staff member was unfriendly. After traveling to three other states and staying at other hotels in the Midwest where we were greeted wtih a smile, this was an unpleasantly surprising greeting in Minnesota. Room checkout isn't until noon, but on the morning (we were leaving around 11) the cleaning staff opened the door twice without knocking. The second time I looked out, she apologized. We did have to ask for more toilet paper. Otherwise the hotel was clean, and the breakfast was good. The rest of the desk staff were pleasant.

The receptionist was not very engaging or helpful. The room was really nice and we actually found pillows that weren’t flat. The sheets did not cover the king bed but that has become common. The breakfast was OK but no real oatmeal with some items to add to it. The rest was what has become typical breakfast fare.

The third floor near the elevators smelled musty, dusty and like maybe hydraulic fluid or something, sickly sweet smelling. Our room was kind of musty smelling and very humid with a very old heat/AC unit didn’t really like the fact that the smoke detector flashed bright red white all night. The curtains really didn’t close properly to blackout the bright lights and between the grass and the two buildings which was our view out our window. The beds are really uncomfortable, and the hairdryer kept on falling out of the holder and hitting us in the hand or random places on the counter. The biggest concern I had is, I tried to take a shower on Friday evening and even though I had the bathmat secure, it popped back up and I started to slip and there was no grab bars in the very slick tub shower combo. Luckily I didn’t fall because I already have a bad hip. The shower/tub combo shouldn’t be that slippery and you need to get bigger rubber mats that goes the full length of the tub. Otherwise, everything else was OK but not great but not horrible. Not sure if I would stay there again. Evan the night shift receptionist was very friendly and very helpful and giving us extra toiletries and towels when we first arrived. I did really appreciate the late checkout as we were here for a funeral and I was sick with a migraine the morning we were supposed to leave by noon.

We arrived just before the big storm hit, my husband loves his car😉 Evan the night clerk let him put his car under the event center canopy so that if hail came, it wouldn't damage his car... The rooms are a amazing, big a spacious bedroom/living room Breakfast was also good, on this day it was eggs, bacon and of course waffles and all other good eats. Over all great places to stay!!! Highly recommend Lisa

The room was clean and comfortable with a nice couch and chairs next to the refrigerator and bathroom, making it feel truly separate from the sleeping area. I liked that they had hot and fresh 24-hour coffee in the lobby.
