Go on excursions in the surrounding area to the Frisian villages of Hindelopen, Workum and Stavoren and to the Wadden Islands. The beach is ideal for small children due to the shallow water. You also have the opportunity to learn kitesurfing and take lessons here. The historic town of Workum is 2 kilometres away. You can also visit the characteristic Frisian Elf towns of Hindeloopen, Joure or Sneek.
