"We are from Australia and have been travelling around all the UK for a month, this is the best accommodation as far as facilities in room and restaurant/bar that we've stayed in. It is the only place we've stayed apart from cottages that had there own kitchens that had a fridge in. The only negative thing we can say is the other patrons coming in late at night early/ morning were very noisey and when they slammed there doors it was very loud, this could be fixed by installing soft door closers so they can't slam. Other than that we loved the place."

"I was there for half a week to explore York after a business trip to the UK. The hotel was good and the staff excellent. Breakfast was pricey and really not worth it. Go to the coffee shop across the street instead or into the old city for a good breakfast at a reasonable price."

"The location was amazing, just a few minutes walk from all the places we wanted to be. The staff were lovely, especially the lady who greeted us when we arrived six hours later than planned due to a change in our travel plans. The hotel was clean, the hot water was almost instant and the room had very well replenished refreshments, including bottles of water. The breakfast was lovely and i was extremely pleased to see a separate area for dietary requirements. All in all, brilliant value. "
