"We needed a stopover and this was a really good find. The rooms are big, it’s clean and has everything you need. We found it a quiet and convenient place to stay. We could park right at the door as described. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms warm during winter. Emma (host) was super responsive to all my questions. "Lovely accommodation for our 5 families to get together... 10 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs. Location is perfect, right in the centre of Darlington with parks close by for the children. A little bit dated but absolutely perfect for what we wanted. Great big bay windows for people watching onto the street was also a massive bonus (although the windows only opened from the bottom up so dangerous for the little ones and dogs, just to bare in mind, but not a negative in anyway!) It's within walking distance of Durham Cathedral (although, if you have mobility issues, be aware that the walk to the cathedral is mostly uphill).
