"Family atmosphere and friendly front desk staff! Several meals in the restaurant. Really enjoyed the BEEF BOURGUIGNON and I have to admitted I took my dessert of Creme’ Brûlée to my room two nights in a row! Delicious!!! Very accessible to the Glendalough Monastic Site and the many hiking trails in Wicklow Mountains National Park. A bit off season so staff were seen working in all areas…great people! Loved my cozy corner room with a desk and really comfy bed! Happy 55th Birthday to me -2026!"

"Another example of a hotel that's more than happy to take your money but not provide a service or facility to match the fee/charge. Don't get me wrong - I wholly appreciate that it's a 3 star hotel - I am not expecting 5 star standards or service. However, regardless of the star rating, the very least a hotel should be providing is somewhere clean, well maintained and staff who show some semblance of friendliness towards guests. Whilst check in and check out were not terrible - I certainly did not feel 'welcomed' on check in or 'appreciated' on check out. For a 3 star - the bedroom was very spacious - but very, very dated. But the lack of details was dreadful - storage shelves far too high, dirty plug sockets, in the en-suite - it was full of "screw holes" not filled in, a hand dryer that doesn't work (so just remove it) - the shower head was far too close to the wall. The room just needs to be updated and cleaned properly. The canopy out the back is littered with holes - just remove it. Listen, the above may sound "small" (to some people) - but I am tried of businesses not doing what they are supposed to. Their websites are laden with superlatives - but then in reality - I rarely see them. If you say you're going to do "A, B & C" - or that you are "A, B & C" - then do what you say. But stop under delivering and over charging - it's so insulting to a paying guest."

"The proprietor was great! Given it’s a B&B and the price I’d have expected the breakfast to be included but it was an add on. Very clean room. It was small but that wasn’t a problem for us. "

"The guesthouse is nice enough but the staff were standoffish to begin with. There was an unexpected extra charge for my dog to stay. They had their large dogs roaming freely, which was intimidating to nervous dogs on leads. The shower in our room was old and complicated to use. I forgot an expensive orthopaedic pillow at the guesthouse and requested it to be sent to me. The owner assured me he had it, charged me €35 and sent an old battered cushion with no cover at a cost of €9. Overall the stay was ok, but the owner was barbaric "
