"Peter’s place was absolutely wonderful, it’s very woodsy and rustic. There were plenty of beds and had a large kitchen that allowed us to cook for our entire family! The living area was great for the kiddos and their toys and games. The dining room was very spacious and elegant for the adults with fun card games. The back blacktop was perfect to hold a tent with a bunch of tables and chairs for our reception. We handbuilt an arch that we assembled on the property towards the front/side of the house for the ceremony, there was a perfect path going down the stairs for the ceremony. Feel free to ask the host Peter for my contact information for pictures if you decide to plan a big event there. I would love to give you pointers!! Thank you again Peter for all that you did to accommodate us. The thorough communication was impeccable and I couldn’t have asked for a more kind host for our special day. Definitely staying here next year for our anniversary!! …did I mention the giant fire pit and all the cool rustic features around the house? So cool…"

"We were greeted very nicely upon arrival. The young man ( Charlie ?) was very friendly, kind, knowledgeable & helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. Felt like we were home. We even saw a family of deer. We would most definitely come back. It’s close to Bethel Wood where we had gone. "

"Very clean. Highly polished hardwood floors. Air conditioner on and room cool on a hot day. Older main building. Motel rooms seemed newly renovated, roomy, microwave, frig…large room inside for coffee, snacks"

"If I needed a place to stay in the area, I would come back. The place was very nice, clean, and well kept. We even sat around to fire pit and spoke with others staying there. We stayed in the main hotel building. The rooms were small, but clean. Be aware there are no TV's in the rooms, that may be a good thing for some. I also suggest that if the restaurant, Conover Club, is open it is a great meal. I have one minor complaint. They advertise that they give you free cups coffee in the lobby, but yet a cup of tea is almost $5? That makes no sense to me. I understand they have loose tea, but buy a box of tea bags."
