"We had a very interesting stay at Cranach Hermitage. We loved its historical significance and how it has been so beautifully restored. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked so we booked the hostel, which was clean but spartan by comparison. Note also that bathroom facilities are shared. To be fair the rates were very reasonable. Reception service at checkin and checkout was top class. Breakfast was exceptional, high quality and classy. "

"Great outdoor pool (should be open until 10pm) and spa area. (indoor pool, hot-tub, different saunas, steam rooms etc.) Property needs some renovations for the rooms (very outdated and worn out) AND an Air Conditioner! It's not okay to put in a tiny little fan to keep the warm air around?! I mostly enjoyed my stay (because I know this hotel/restaurant) but I would not recommend to family and friends. For people with low expectations and willing to pay a high price, it will be okay. The area and location is excellent, and of course the Wörlitzer Park! "
