"Booked (pre-Covid) in 2019 and stayed in April 2023 after Covid prevented us from visiting. Owners very accommodating and agreed to move the booking at no cost. The house, facilities and responsiveness of the owners was first class."

"Ideal location for the good quality golf courses in the area. Whilst this is a good property there were a few areas that we thought could be improved on. We arrived on a Sunday evening and shops are closed in France. A welcome pack with a few essentials would be appreciated. Listing on VRBO advised that towels were provided, none in the gite, not even a tea towel for drying up. "Just a short pop from Calais and you're in another world. A relaxing location away from the hustle and bustle of life, yet not far away from interesting locations. The host, Lucie, was very helpful and kindly arranged a restaurant booking in Cassel at a restaurant she recommended. Although the weather wasn't great, we enjoyed a four night stay and visited Saint Omer, Cassel and it's beautiful gardens, La Couple and the Blockhaus, which we can highly recommend if you're interested in WW2. "I had good communication from the owner since booking. We stayed to celebrate a milestone birthday, and the owners left a happy birthday note as we walked through the door. There were a few little treats left for us, which also made the stay a little more special. I completely recommend this place, as the beds were comfortable, the downstairs living space was homely and spacious, and the outdoor area was loved by our children. It's situated in a perfectly quiet area, with stunning views."

"The property was very clean and kitchen equipment provide was wide ranging. Coffee machine, kettle, toaster, air fryer along with oven/hob and microwave. Communication with the owner was quite difficult initially (messaging service on Vrbo wasn’t working, but fortunately the caravan park reception was open and they helped by messaging owner directly. Could do with some instructions (in English) to work gas fire. Overall, very pleasant stay and good value."

"This was a good large cottage in a very quiet village only an hour into France from Calais. Nice sizable garden for the kids to have fun. The coast and Belgium were both within reach for days out."
