"Wir haben hier ein tolles Wochenende verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr ungewöhnlich gebaut, hat aber alles was man braucht. Das Wohnzimmer haben wir nicht richtig warm bekommen, haben wir aber auch wenig genutzt. Hervorzuheben sind die sehr guten Matratzen und die sehr nette Verwalterin. Die Region hat viel zu bieten, wir haben sicherlich noch nicht alles gesehen."

"We very much enjoyed our stay. The landlady is very nice and welcoming. The house is spacious, with 5 bedrooms. It is old, which has charm. But older buildings can have some draw backs. For instance, the downstairs bathroom can get a bit smelly/damp, but if you keep the door and window open you’ll have no problem there. The kitchen/diner is fitted for 8, which was nice and spacious with only the five of us. We really loved the patio."

"Ein wunderschönes, sehr toll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus im Grünen, mit großem Garten. Etwas schwer zu finden, dennoch idyllisch gelegen, perfekter Ausgang für Ausflüge und Wanderungen. Der Parkplatz und das Tor könnten besser ausgeleuchtet werden. Aber rundum alles super!"

"This is a super venue, a magnificent farmhouse complex with its own courtyard in a small village, it is quiet and peaceful. The rooms are spacious each with their own en-suite facilities, the beds were modern and super comfortable. A well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. We will definitely book this venue again next time we visit the Harz mountains."

"It was very difficult to find the house in the evening. It was very dark and we just could not find it. The satnav location was not very accurate. And there is no sign outside the house. So this is a pro-tip for the owner. Other than that our stay was wonderful. Very quite and the house offers everything you need for a a lovely stay in the Harz-region. "

"Beautiful accommodation with a very nice and pleasant garden! The area around the village is beautiful and very suitable for walking and cycling. The owner is very friendly and provided bicycles. We as a family with 2 children, 13 and 16, from Holland have really appreciated the cottage."

"Eine herrliche Oase für die ganze Familie fanden wir in diesem von außen doch eher unscheinbaren Haus. Im Haus gab es alles, was man benötigt, es ist liebevoll gestaltet und eingerichtet. Die Kinder und die Eltern fühlten sich gleich wie zu Hause."

"We hadden een geweldige tijd, De gastheer was erg aardig"

"Wir sind mit unserem Hund gereist und wollten den Silvesterböllern entfliehen. Dieses ist uns hier erstmalig gelungen aufgrund der abgelegenen und sehr ruhigen Lage direkt am Wald. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr komfortabel ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat sehr gut geklappt. Wir waren erst etwa skeptisch, da der Kaminofen die einzige Heizquelle (abgesehen vom Badheizkörper) im Haus ist, aber es war trotzdem schön warm."

"Das Haus ist 300 Jahre alt, aber ganz neu renoviert. Wir fanden es sehr gemütlich, mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Großer Garten zur eigenen Nutzung. Können wir sehr empfehlen."

"We hadden een fantastische verblijf! De gastheren waren uiterst voorkomend en alles was in uitstekende staat, Het vakantiehuis biedt alles wat je nodig hebt, inclusief een wasmachine! De omgeving is perfect: rustig, landelijk en dichtbij zijn er bakkers, slagers, restaurants, een kleine supermarkt en een geweldige speeltuin! We komen zeker terug!"

"The hotel lighting is very limited, really uncomfortable to stay. Breakfast is not delicious for room rate that I paid. The pillow look like not really pillow for sleep. I don’t want to come back to this hotel. "

"Good hotel with amazingly clean rooms. Room was big and recently renovated, lots of space and nice touches like tea and coffee in the room. Big windows let in loads of natural light, and opening windows allowed fresh air which was nice. The location allows for easy access and parking, and then it's a very short walk to the centre of the historic town. Friendly team and good breakfast. As some other people commented, no, they don't speak English - but it turns out the hotel is in Germany, so don't expect it and you'll be fine. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and a smile, a few signs and a bit of patience got me checked in very quickly. Great value, would definitely stay again. "
