"Easy walk to Winthrop main street, via pedestrian path and bridge. Room was spacious and nice knotty pine accents. Also quite soundproof which was good as there's a lot of rumbling traffic over the car bridge out of town, very close to my particular room."

"Very serene, beautiful setting. Just didn't work well for me not to have running water. For the rather high price of lodging, I wanted a little bit of luxury. Would be perfect for someone who prefers accommodations that are a bit more rustic."

If you're not into winter sports, there's not a lot to do around there in the winter. Many shops are closed. It didn't matter though, we were there for family. Summer is a lot more fun for us!!

Winthrop attracts many different kinds of people - skiers, snowmobilers, hunters, walk round tourists, mtn bikers, hikers...great place. Everyone seems to get along and is happy.
