"We are not strangers to the area, my wife having grown up in the area, but each time we stay on the Chesapeake we feel at home. The Hideaway is so nice that you don't want to go back your actual home! It is furnished as if it is a year-round residence, no cheap or mismatched furniture and appliances. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen is has everything you need and it works. The yard and amenities are top notch. If you enjoy bird watching, sit in the back yard and take in the bird activity over Deep Creek and its marshes. There are ample kayaking opportunities. We are looking forward to returning to the Hideaway"

"Soil Oasis is a wonderful property! Even prettier than the photos online, and the outdoor amenities (fire pit, deck chairs, hammock) are such a nice perk. Teresa was incredibly accommodating with my schedule change and the details she provided on-site for local recommendations and directions to the beach were greatly appreciated. Beds were very comfortable, everything was clean and organized, and the property was quiet."

"Our family of 4 came for a long weekend at Solomons Island, where we spent time as kids. The Retreat on the Patuxent is an ideal place to get away for peaceful relaxation, while being conveniently located near the restaurants and attractions at Solomons. My mom loved the upstairs bedroom/bathroom suite, and the downstairs bedrooms were spacious for me, my sister, and her husband. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen, the open family room, and the amazing views of the Patuxent from the front windows. We would love to stay here again, it would be perfect for a whole week vacation. "
