"We stay here every year for a local event. The bathrooms have been updated with nice tile and a selection of pillows on a comfortable bed. It’s nice to have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in each room. The owners are very nice and always a pleasure to see. It is an older motel so expect new and old amenities. It is comfortable and convenient. Will absolutely stay again."

"Quaint and beautiful historic hotel! Right in downtown Placerville. We loved strolling from the hotel to all the cute shops and antique stores along the row. Hotel itself was clean, well managed with friendly staff. Shower was hot with great pressure! We loved the antique look of the rooms. Bonus: if you like ghosts and spooky stories, this hotel is great! We loved watching the Portals to Hell episode about the hotel… in the hotel! Overall, fantastic experience. We would stay here again if we found ourselves in the area."
