"This was the best home away from home! Owners Connie and John make you feel like you’re their only guest! Sat down in the kitchen with big glasses of Ice Tea. This was done so they could find out what we wanted for breakfast the next morning. Fresh chicken eggs, fresh veggies, fruits home grown or organic. Can even accommodate gluten free. (We chose tea because we don’t drink alcohol but if you do they will give you a bear or wine.) The upstairs is where the rooms are and we opted for the king room because it had its own bathroom. If you use the queen beds it has a shared bathroom. Never fear, there is another bathroom downstairs if it’s occupied. The whole house is basically yours. We sat in the living room after breakfast in our provided robes after breakfast this morning because I was so full from the amazing breakfast Chef John cooked. The evening meal is cooked by Chef Connie. Our room upstairs had fresh made banana bread with real butter. We changed for our evening out which was a concert at Win Star only a short drive away. When we came home the fireplace was going in the living room, the stairs are dimly lit. We went upstairs to our room to find our covers turned back and chocolates on the bed. The bed was so comfortable! We both felt really rested. If you ever get the chance to stay here, don’t question it! Just do it! Only thing different for me was no hand towel by the sink in our upstairs room. Otherwise perfect! Completely 10 plus! Love the history of the home to"

"Bed was uncomfortable "

"It was adequate. Breakfast was minimal. Just needed a place to sleep. Room was clean. "

"Dirty Qtips in 1 nightstand and old smoke detector in other. Opened toilet lid, bowl was not cleaned as poo stuck on it from last person there. No ice machines working but 1 small old machine that I had to ask in back room with old furniture stored in.Asked for hair dryer as ours was removed from wall bracket left. Leftover shampoo and lotion bottles provided were from previous user. Toilet tank lid didn’t fit from a different one toilet, shower curtain old and stained. Dirty carpet wall to wall, and chair with snags wouldn’t sit in. Flat pillows, lumpy bed, didn’t sleep well. Unappetizing sausage and breakfast area. Husband got last waffle and syrup out of containers. Do not recommend to anyone. Drive further north for more options!"

"Recently remodeled motel that was everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The room was clean and the property was welcome and inviting. It is located just far enough off the IH so that noise is not an issue but close enough for easy access to wherever you need to go. We originally booked for Thursday and Friday night but were not able to make it in on Thursday. Jay held our room for us and we were able to add another night to our stay with no problems or issues. Pride of ownership definitely shines through in this one. "
