Lake trout naturally reproduce using the rocky shoals to spawn and maintain a productive fishery. Salmonid growth is good despite competition from warm water fish species. Unit was very clean and host/owners were always ready to answer our questionsLake view allowed for a relaxing time Pet-formendly allowed for our dog to adjust to new area
Peter and Jane are super hosts and lovely people! This was one of the nicest rentals we have had … comfy, cozy like home! Screened porch and dock were perfect for hanging out. We would stay here again!
Our stay was the most enjoyable relaxing time. It was spotless! Everything you could possibly need down to the littlest detail and the sweetest hosts you could ask for. It felt like home away from home. Beautiful serene location. We loved it and will definitely be back!
Beautiful property, very private and peaceful. We loved every bit of our stay. The hosts were great and made it clear they were available if needed, but not in our way. We were very comfortable and would love to rent again next year earlier in the season to enjoy the lake more.
Maine Lake house with Mountain Views and Beautiful Sunsets
Hosts Jane and Peter are lovely people and keep their home and property very well maintained. We especially enjoyed amazing sunsets at the lake house and time in the screened in porch. We loved the Mountain Views at Blue Mountain State Park- Center Hill Trail and an overlook along the road nearby. Would highly recommend staying here.
We had a great stay with Peter and Jane at the lake house! The spot was great-we enjoyed the screen porch so much!! watching loons everyday!! We even saw eagles on the lake thanks to a Pontoon ride from our wonderful hosts! Great relaxation week, Just what the Dr ordered!!
We had a wonderful stay. The home was immaculate, furnished with everything you could imagine. Lake right outside the back door. Beautiful place, - need a little piece and quiet to catch your breath?or up for some hiking, boating or swimming this place has it all. Owners are friendly and very accommodating .You won’t find a better place for your vacation!!
This is the best vacation home we have ever stayed at. This is such a unique and beautiful property. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the most well equipped place we have ever experienced. We spent the majority of our time relaxing on the screened porch and listening to the birds, loons, and bullfrogs. Hosts Jane and Peter were super accommodating and very sweet and friendly. Highly recommend!
Jane and Peter are so welcoming and their property is beautiful! Myself, my husband and two 15 year olds had a great time. It was so relaxing and there is so much to do right at your fingertips. We loved the ping pong table! We will be looking to go back there for sure in the future! The guest house was perfect for us and was so clean and exactly what it was marketed as!
The view is amazing. Jane and Peter are very kind and took us out on the boat. The front porch was our favorite place to hang out. Shower was a bit small but it’s not a big deal.
Jane & Peter’s lake cabin is the perfect location if your looking for a relaxing getaway! Right on quiet Wilson Lake with private access to the lake right out your back door. They provide absolutely everything you need to enjoy your time there, and are very responsive if you have any questions. They have a paddle boat and small battery powered boat if you want to go out on the lake and the large screened in porch overlooking the lake is perfect. If your looking for a quiet private relaxing lakeside getaway with everything you could possibly need you have found it here.
Really Great get away , superb lake views and sounds. The hosts have everything you could need play equipment wise. We were able to bring our pet Sunny the dog which makes any vacation 100 times better! Plenty of tv stations to find something to hate on and make fun of while kickin back too. Hosts we gracious, hospitable laid back but professional . 5 Stars for sure value value value we will be back
Peter and Jane are terrific hosts of a beautiful spot on the lake. We did all the things. We hiked Mt. Blue to the top. We peddled the boat out onto the lake. We watched the sunrise and sunset on the screened in porch. We made fires and roasted marshmallows. We had a terrifically beautiful family vacation at this perfect little cottage on the lake.
Cozy cottage on a mid sized lake during a hotspell in early September. Hosts were very friendly and accomodating. We had access to swimming via a dock and inner tubes. The grounds were tidy with a badmitten net, croquet, ping pong, etc. They even took us for a ride on their new acquired pontoon boat. The location was ideal in that we felt secluded yet only six miles to Farmington, ME.
We would like to go back next year.
This unexpected gem was more beautiful than expected. The photos do not show, with accuracy, the thoughtfulness that has gone in to this place. It is cozy and comfortable, and very, very clean. Jane and Peter were great hosts. Friendly and thoughtful and not intrusive. Our time there was too short and we look forward to staying there next fall.
We were looking for a relaxed week away from the craziness that is our life this year. We got that plus so much more. Our hosts Jane and Peter could not have been more welcoming and gracious. We were availed every amenity that they had. Kayaking, peddle boat, and so much more. We were allowed to bring our 8 year old dog, who I must say loved it as well. We will be looking forward to our next visit to the lake house. Thank You Jane and Peter for making our stay a very pleasant, relaxing, and oh so very enjoyable week, one that we couldn’t wait to share with family and friends. You both are wonderful hosts. Thank you so much.
We spent 2 weeks at this lovely little cottage situated on a beautiful lake. The cottage is cozy, clean and very comfortable. It was just perfect for the two of us. The kitchen is stocked with every tool that you might need and the screened porch was a wonderful place to eat our meals, relax and read while watching the loons on the lake. We even enjoyed a couple of fires outside in the evenings.
The owners are next door but the cottage is landscaped in a way that feels totally private. June and Peter are so very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed. The have several kayaks to choose from along with a paddle boat.
The lake is great because it's not terribly busy. It's a short walk into town to get a little exercise in and there are some cute shops to visit. Farmington, for more serious shopping, is only 15 minutes away. There are also lots of nice hiking opportunities within 30 - 60 minutes drive.
Amazingly beautiful spot and fantastic hosts! Super clean and thoughtfully equipped with all the boats and gear. The porch is serene and has a picnic table and a cozy futton. A note that for folks with mobility issues, the small bathroom space may not be ideal.
Lovely place overlooking the lake. Fall colors everywhere! Quaint and cozy. Very clean. Everything was available to us as stated on the VRBO Site. Jane and Peter were very helpful with anything we needed. A lovely couple! We want to return next Fall!
Jane and Peter were absolutely amazing, the property is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, and the only bad thing was that we only booked 3 nights! We will definitely be going back for a longer stay. Best VRBO property in Maine yet!
The list of things we loved about our stay is endless, but here are some highlights:
Sunrise kayaking
Fabulous fishing right from the dock
An abundance of blueberries ripe for the picking
Loons and eagles
And the kindest, most accommodating hosts you could ask for
We had exactly the family vacation we were hoping for!
