"My stay was a Thursday - Sunday for a special event in town. I had little contact with staff. They were all nice. There was a creepy middle aged guy chatting on his cell phone in the lobby that I tagged as the owner. At least he looked the part as someone who really didn't care about customer service and pride in running a good motel. The furniture, fixtures and A/C unit are old, worn, ugly and falling apart. No breakfast, no mini store, no maid service until after day 6 of a stay, no pool,...

"We were very happy with our stay. I have stayed at several motel 6’s. Including different ones around the Portland area. This one is by far my favorite. Everything was clean and well kept up. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a nice area to take your dog potty. The grounds were very well maintained. We will definitely stay there again! "

"I've stayed here before, so the issues were not unexpected, but it's so close to my family. The people staying there trash it, and the staff did try - once while I was there - to blow all the garbage to the sides where employees picked it up. A strange guy went through all the garbage cans, pulled things out of them, hid under staircases to go through the stuff, then left it all over the place. But I was treated very nicely by the staff and really appreciated how helpful they were."

Quiet (no small feat when surrounded by a freeway and busy arterials). Excellent security with a room-key-activated motorized gate. Many fun places to visit along Sandy Blvd, including a wonderful French patisserie/restaurant (went there twice), Voodoo Donuts and some really great bars, like the Sandy Hut and the Moon and Sixpence Pub.
