The Cubana Ballina

"Our room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The parking lot can get quite full but we never had an issue finding a spot near our room. We didn’t use the bbq facilities but saw other families enjoying them and would be keen to use them next time. My only negative about this accommodation is that we had neighbours on each side who smoked (cigarettes outside and marijuana in one of the rooms), and it smelled so strong of marijuana in our own room that we had to leave the window open to air it out. We did put towels under the doors to make it better, but the smell was quite strong. We didn’t complain about it because we didn’t spend much time in the room anyway, and probably not much that staff could do. But I would definitely stay here again and enjoy the convenient location to all areas of Ballina (walking distance to CBD)."

"Beautiful spot with an elevated view and a feeling like you are away from everything, yet so close to town and Byron. Grounds are very well maintained, great pool and bird life and the rooms are lovely. If in the main house, you do share with others but rooms are distanced and it feels secure due to heavy doors and the lock systems in place. There is shared areas that are really nice"

"Handy location, welcoming staff. Room and amenties were more than adequate for a quick weekend away. Ample parking, however it is sometimes difficult to get a space in front/near your unit as they are not numbered or reserved by room."

"Had a warm welcome and the van home was very clean and well equipped. Was a massive shame that the pool was absolutely freezing to the point was unable to stay in it. And although not at the fault of the park itself, found it very hard to get a decent night sleep with comings and goings until the early hours from other guests. Something about the stay made me feel a bit uneasy being in the van home in what felt like the middle of an airfield. Wouldn’t recommend travelling here with children, more suited to solo travellers or backpackers"
