"We had a really lovely stay for 2 nights at Rothay Garden. We booked dinner on the first night which was high quality. The views over the garden from the restaurant were really relaxing. We booked a luxury room which was really clean and spacious and had a terrace."

"The staff were superb and really made us feel welcome. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. The only blemishes were a table in our room that was damaged and should have been replaced plus there was a little mould on the shower sealant. Overall, an excellent hotel and we will definitely stay there again."

"Best value accommodation, even cheaper than a Youth Hostel. Decent sized room, with a desk and everything required for a good nights sleep. All staff, at reception and housekeeping, did their best to make us comfortable and at home. Would love to return one day!"

"It was a lovely hotel, with friendly staff. The room was beautiful, a little noisy from the room above on the first night of our stay (which kept our little boy awake). However this did not affect how much we loved this hotel. The food and atmosphere was amazing. Not to mention the brilliant location. We would have loved the tipi to have been up so will definitely return once that is in place. We stayed in the Loughrigg suite - A great small addition would be some coat hangers behind the door upon entry to hang outdoor coats but everything else was perfect. "
