"Fantastic getaway destination for a weekend stay (and more). Hotel location is great with hikes nearby and the hotel courtyard, pool and other facilities are amazing! We had two small kids and were worried that their play and shouts might not be met with the warmest feedback but the hotel staff was super welcoming. "Disappointed by False Advertising – Stay Away! I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed. The main reason I booked was because of the amenities shown in the pictures—specifically the indoor swimming pool and spa/sauna. However, when I arrived, I discovered that none of these amenities actually existed. The photos and descriptions online are completely misleading. "We enjoyed our stay for three nights in Alte Mühle very much. We were given an upgraded, very large studio suite. Breakfast buffet was very nice, all of their personnel were lovely and helpful. Bad Bertrich is a quiet village with restaurants and a rather close drive to Beilstein, Cochem and Bernkastel-Kues. "

"Friendly personnel, very good food in there restaurant at very reasonable prices."

"The room was clean, but the mini fridge was left unplugged and someone left food in it so it continued to make the room smell horrible. We had to wait a while at the front desk, because the lady was outside and didn’t hear the bell ring multiple times. Didn’t like that the door was a key. So if there’s more than one person staying and someone left and the other stayed, the other was locked in basically. "Room was exceptionally spacious with sofa and balcony. Swimming pool was quiet, relaxing and water temperature and was just right. Daily cleaning was excellent. Cleaner very helpful. The stand out was the restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful and comprehensive. We dined each evening of our seven night stay. The range of food on the menu was impressive and the quality first class. Obviously a very accomplished chef. Restaurant staff could not have been more helpful and cheerful. They showed it was a happy place to work. I hope this review may encourage readers to enjoy a stay at this hotel as we have enjoyed. "
